Someone named Dave Murphy contacted me from this email address: [email protected]. They contacted me saying that they had a position open for me and requested that I set up an interview with them. I was then directed to speak with someone named Daniel Hornby via Skype. His Skype name is live:.cid.f5d1d504fc55041c. I cannot find a more appropriate email address attached to that contact information via Skype. However, the Skype invite link that I was sent is https://join.skype.com/invite/AbmghdgNWf4i.

I became a bit suspicious, so I wanted to make sure that this was a legitamate opportunity. So far, I was asked for my ID and for a picture of where I would be working from, as it is a remote opportunity. Taking a picture of my room has never been requested of me for a work opportunity. I know that sending sensitive information is part of the hiring process, which is why I want to be sure that I do not send more sensitive information to whomever it is that has contacted me. I feel vulnerable about sending them a picture of my photo ID and room. They did not ask me for any routing information so far, but they did ask which bank I use and what form of payment I would like to receive my income. All encounters I have had with both people who contacted me were both via email and messaging on Skype. The person interviewing me claimed to be a 45 year old male, but they could honestly be anyone.

When visiting the official website, I noticed that the company is based in Ireland. However, I currently located in the United States. They mentioned this, as well, but said that their time zone is Eastern Standard Time. Daniel Hornby updated me today saying that my training should start soon and that I would officially start once I was sent funds to purchase the supplies I would need for my position. Our next meeting was set for the next couple of days, but I will pass and continue looking elsewhere. I will be reporting and blocking them. I will also be removing my resume from Indeed because scammers find them and take full advantage.

Guys, be careful. The scamming is getting really bad.

The scammer emailed me text links to do a text interview. Without thinking I provided them my name, address, and phone number. I didn't give them my ss# or any banking information and they were very aggressive with trying to get information.
