At a local craft fair I met a person who was a representative/salesperson of msteelshop. I stopped to admire some of the items in his display which I was interested in. He said he was with msteelshop, I bought one item and asked about some of the wrought iron metal sculptures which I was interested in purchasing as a gift. He had said he was from Wisconsin and said it would be difficult to ship an item to me, so I decided it would be easier to ship it to the person I was buying the item for. He gave me his business card. I waited several months and used the website of msteelshop.com. I ordered a personalized item for the person I was shopping for and some other items. I placed three orders in total totaling $443. After a couple of weeks I had not received any of the first order, and I inquired by email to service @msteelshop.com. They responded and said I should be patient. Then I received an email that said the first order had been shipped. The item arrived and it was not of the quality I expected. A label on it said Made in China. I sent an email to them again and this time it was immediately returned to me as undeliverable since the email address was not known. I suspected trouble then and informed my credit card company of the problem. They started an investigation into the problem and turned it over to their fraud department. I looked at the internet for the first time and saw numerous complaints about msteelshop and fanticle, the name which appeared on my credit card statement.. I had not previously thought about investigating the company since I was clearly misled by the man I met at the craft fair..I like to buy from small local businesses, and he had presented himself as a representative of a small Wisconsin company. Fortunately my credit card company found this case to satisfy their requirements of fraud, and I have been reimbursed. In looking back at my emails, I saw that I had ordered an item for someone else in 2022. I had also received an email from msteelshop that the item would be sent to them. I don’t know if it actually was delivered.

Beware of fraud of this type: a person presenting himself as a small local business at a craft fair. Check any company out before you order from their website. I am so glad my credit card company agreed that this was fraud and did not ask me for any further proof. Individuals like this may change their company name the next time, so beware of companies in general that seem to be honest, hard working companies.

The company was on Facebook and presented itself, like others, as a legitimate business that deals with signs made of steel. I hadn't received my order within about 6 weeks, so I contacted them via email and explain the situation. I was contacted, via email, and was told that the product had been finished and was being sent to me. I never heard another word and haven't received anything. I was stupid and irresponsible thinking that it was a legitimate business since it was on Facebook. I know now.
