I was looking for mortgage assistance and found mtghelpcenter.org. They claim to be a government program but they are not. They ask for all your personal information like social security number, bank details, and mortgage account numbers. They say they will negotiate with your lender but it's a scam to steal your identity and money. I called the number on their site, (888) 221-4747, and the person was very pushy and couldn't answer basic questions about what program they work for. This is a fake operation. Do not give them any information.
