I applied for credit through a lending company i found online.i filled out a application and sent it off.i was then contacted the ext day by a individual that went by the name of cameron knowles. He advised me that i was approved for the sum of 20.000 if i had a co-signer or collateral or could purchase loan insurance. I chose to purchase loan insurance in the sum of 2000.00 dollars. The so called lending representative advised me that a contract would be emailed to me and that i was to read it over and sign the documents and include the banking information as to where the loan of 20.000 would be deposited and payments would be being payed back from and to send them back to the company and that upon verification that i would be contacted and given the information as to where to send the 2000.00 dollars for loan insurance and that it was to be received before the funds being borrowed to me good be released. I received the money transfer information and the money was sent via email money transfer from my account. The money was transfer was accepted hours later and i was told the funds being borrowed tk me would be released via wire transfer which would take about 2 to 3 hrs. I waited the allocated time period with nothing happening.ki called the so called lending company and stated i have not yet received the wire transfer. I was told that this sometimes happens and if nothing has happened in the next 24hrs to contact them immidiately. I waited tbe 24 hrs with no results so i called yet again. I was then advised he would speak to his accounting department and get back to me. I was contacted by the same man a cpl hours later and was told that now the accounting department had made a new decision on my application and that was that the 2000.00 insurance money i sent was not enough to pay for the loan insurance and that another 1000.00 dollars was needed to cover the loan insurance and asked what i wanted to do. Within the 24hrs i waited i began to feel and think that i had walked myself right into a scam and that i was never going to see any borrowed money or my own money again so i told the man i was nolonger interested and voiced my thoughts and feelings about this whole thing being a fraud. He tried to assure me in every way he could that it was not and that if i did not want to continue with the loan my money would be sent back to me. I said ok send it back and he said it would take a cpl hrs and i would be contacted in such time. I said that was a bunch of bs and that it took me 5mins to aend to them and it should take nolonger then that to send to me. Since that last conversation i have not seen my money returned and i have not heard from this man again. The site is still up and the phone numbers and email are still the same. The company - Murexlending.com, The name - Cameron Knowles,The phone numbers used 1-800-959-1853,1-416-318-2069,the email used - [email protected] and the email i sent the money to was [email protected]
