My perfect resume Reports & Reviews (11)

They make it seem like you are paying for one resume, then continue to steal from you. They owe me $250. They insulted me by offering me a refund of $11. Wow. They need thrown in jail. THEIVES! Look online and you will see hundreds more reviews saying the same thing. How can people steal from others and get away with it? Completely not ok. STAY AWAY! FRAUDULENT COMPANY IN EVER SENSE OF THE WORD!

I signed up for this service to make a resume. I didn’t think about unsubscribing for several months then when I realized I was being charged for this service I went through the channels to unsubscribe. Now 4 months have gone by and I’m still getting billed. When you send them a message, an automatic message comes back saying they are looking into it then it never gets resolved. Deceptive canceling process. I ended up on hold for at least 15 minutes waiting for someone to answer. Finally someone did and I had to prove I was the user. Then after several questions, the man said I was unsubscribed and gave me a number to prove my cancelation. Seems too hard to cancel from their service.

I never signed up for a subscription. I hate and avoid automatic payments at all costs. In Nov. they billed my account for, 45 cents 4 times... Phishing to see if they could get money. Then from Jan 2022 till we caught it they have been billing $23.95 every month this year. Now Oct 2022. Some they charged $35. Why would anyone need a subscription to a resume service? I am having my bank look into charging them back and fraud charges. I will also contact the FTC and show them the many people in the same boat being scammed. Can you say class action Law Suit? I will bet all of their good reviews are paid for.

I canceled my account months ago. I had to call on the phone and have multiple charges removed because they kept charging me after cancelation. Now I go to see that they started charging me 4.95 for the last three months after already canceling TWICE.

I registered at myperfectresume.com at Sep.23rd 2019 and input my credit card information for a free one-month trial, I was charged for 35 CAD on Oct 23rd and 35 CAD on Nov 5th, 2019 and 35 CAD on Dec. 3rd, 2019 and 35 CAD on Dec, 31st, 2019. I was totally charged 140 CAD. I was shocked, it is vampire!!!!!

I used this site to build a "free resume". After I had created this resume (with all my personal information on it) they said I couldn't have the file unless I paid a small fee. I believe it was 2.95. I never heard from them again, this was 4-5-18. I noticed yesterday that there has been a recurring charge to my bank account every month since then for 24.95. I called the 844-351-7485 which is the number on my bank statement. A man answered and I asked what this charge was and who he worked for. He said it was my subscription service at www.myperfectresume.com for them to send my resume out to perspective employers. I never once signed up for this, I wouldn't as I live paycheck to paycheck and have a family to feed. I explained this to him and asked for a refund and he said they can't refund more than 12.92. I asked for him to cancel my account and he talked circles around me and would never answer my questions or even respond sometimes. He said he was going to put me on hold and ask his boss what we could do. He came back about 5 minutes later and said he could "help me out" and make the membership fee 4.95 instead and try to issue two refunds of 12.92 to my account. I said, but I want to cancel this and I never signed up for it. He said I must be confused and the emails must be going into my Spam folder. He never cancelled. They charged me another 4.95 and I have no refunds. They then emailed me to confirm my new subscription and that email came directly to my inbox. I never received services from them and they've been stealing 24.95 from me for 6 months. I googled them and found that I'm not the only victim of this horrible place. I believe they also sold my information to third parties. You can only access their terms and conditions from a desktop website. The mobile links just take you back to the main page every time. I had to get a new card issued to stop the charges since they refuse to cancel and just charged me more money when I tried. I can't remove my phone number from their site. It won't delete and I had to make up an email address to remove my real one. They've literally been taking food out of my children's mouthes and I didn't even realize it.

I've contacted this company by email twice and phone once clearly expressing my voice to cancel my account and to end charging my card. I've emailed clearly stating I do not authorize my card for future charges and this company continues to do so. The rep on the phone would not allow me a refund, instead issued me a 20.00 credit from 24.95. Now they are pulling another 24.95 off my debt card that I clearly did not authorize. I received notification from my last email requesting cancellation that a ticket number had been created and I'd be notified in two business days. Have not happened as of yet. I'm reporting this company so others aren't scammed by them.

Used this website to help build my resume, it asked me to agree to a ONE TIME CHARGE of $2.95 to have access to the resume I built. They charged me 15 days later $24.95. I have read on a forum that countless people have fallen victim to the same scam and many were unable to get their money back. This company is charging our credit/debit cards without our consent.

You think you are purchasing a template for a resume for $2.95 but really they charge you every 4 weeks (13 per year) up to $34.95/month. It’s a scam and when you cancel they continue to charge your card and pretend you never called

I found myperfectresume with a google search of FREE resume builder. I created my resume (which was very time consuming) assuming that I was creating a free resume. When I was done I went to print and send a resume and before I could I was told to pay a one time fee of 2.95 or an unlimited print or send of my resume for I think 34.95. After taking the time to create it I decided it was a small amount to pay and went on to pay the 2.95. On 9/18/2016 I checked my bank statement and had an unauthorized withdraw of 24.95. I googled AX*MYPERFRESUME of which was the withdraw name. My search said it was a withdraw from myperfectresume.com. I never gave them my consent to withdraw more than the 2.95 it was when I filled out/made a resume.

My perfect resume starts by having you create a resume for free- great! So you spend time making the resume without knowing you would be charged a fee at the end in order to save the resume you just spent maybe an hour making. Then it tells you it will be a $2 charge (approximately) and you'll get a 14 day trial of the service. Fine so I do that without doing any previous research on the company because I didn't think $2 was worth the research time (being a full time student with 6 courses.) It also tells you that you will get your money back if your unhappy with the service. So on I went with my life etc and then a month later I check my visa statement and was charged $50 from the site. I immediately check online reviews and thousands of people report the same problem as me since 2013 or earlier- that's atleast 3 years of them doing this autorenewing scam without fixing it and making it clear to the reasonable consumer that they will be charged monthly. And they replied to the customers in the post so they KNOW about all the issues and problems it is causing people and still don't change it. So I email them asking an immediate cancellation and refund and they tell me they only offer refunds if you qualify for a refund and will be told in 2 days if you qualify.

This is extremely unethical to firstly have customers spend all this time using the resume template without knowing they would be charged to save it. NO indication was given about this download charge. Then it falsely advertised as issuing refunds for any unhappy customers but telling me via email they may not be able to give me a refund. Finally the automatic renewal is in fine print and completely misleading to the reasonable consumer since thousands of people are continuously being charged sometimes months on end without even knowing.

When I ask to speak with a supervisor I am told over and over again that they are not available to speak with and I request via email for an email or phone for the supervisor and haven't received any response even though they sent me other emails after this request. There are so many unethical things going on with this company who preys on young people who need to get a job..And the fact they charge you $2 to get your credit card information is very sneaky and unethical because they know customers won't do extension research on their brand for $2...if they said outright that it was $50 for a month then people would do the research and most likely wouldn't even use the site (I sure wouldn't) but they make it hidden to hook people in who don't check their statements and collect revenue off of these sneaky tactics.
