Type of a scam Home Improvement
One of my two AC units was not blowing cold air and I asked the technicians to inspect it. They did and said I needed a replacement part that had to be ordered. A couple days later, they sent a bid to REPLACE the entire unit at the cost of $7250!
Since I've owned condos for years, I suspected this was b.s. Fifteen years is not that old for an AC condenser. So I called another company I've used in the past. They repaired my unit today, which involved replacing a couple of wires that had deteriorated in the heat. Total cost: $185.
Clearly AC Heroes has decided to prey upon seniors and use an HOA referral as an endorsement. I hate to think how many of my neighbors were fooled into paying for a full replacement.
