I paid $300 up front. Got my order number. Than waited a year to get it delivered. I expected that long wait because it was a new generation of a device they were already selling…ie: Mycroft I
The Mycroft II was delivered in early January 2023. It doesn’t work. I tried to contact them, but they provide no phone number. I sent an email to the contact person I was dealing with before…no response. I sent multiple messages via their “contact me” page on the web site. Only got an automated response…did not address any of the issues. I sent an email to [email protected] hoping that someone would see it….no response. I wrote a couple of very pointed, angry messages into their website chat community…no one official responded. I sent a hand written letter to their Kansas City office, their Lawrence Kansas office, and their Wilmington NC office. No response.
They have documentation on their website describing all the functions and service. It describes exactly the words and commands to use. I keep complaining that the vast majority of those commands do not work. I can set a timer..but “stop” command doesn’t work so you cannot turn off the ringing alarm. I can get it to turn on NPR or BBC news, but, again “stop” does not work. None of the other commands work at all. Reminder does not work. List does not work. Any of the commands to look up information do not work. At this point it is just a very expensive broken alarm clock. Even the temperature it displays is wrong.
After reading all the angry posts on their chat page. ( https://community.mycroft.ai/t/scam-this-is-a-scam/13240/10) .it is clear to me that they scammed me out of the money. They never had, and still do not appear to ever have a working device as described on their web page. Yet, they are selling this.
PS. Your form required a phone number. This seller removed their phone number from the website.
