As soon I received a text message from them, I knew it was a scam. I just wanted to report it.

Received a phone call from a "Victoria" who claims that my resume was flagged by her team, reviewed, and they would like to consider me for a managerial or an advisory position with Globe Life. I had Just "beefed up" my resume quite a bit just a couple of days ago when I updated it to include the updated masters degree I obtained a few years back and a significant amount of leadership, grant writing, and administrative experience, so I was not suspicious about the level of the position. A voicemail was left and then a text asking me if I would be interested in a position and if so, could she have a good email to send some details. I feel so [censored]ic not catching this because, as with any good resume, my email is on there and they also could have reached out through indeed... sigh. I took the bait and sent her my email address. She sent this email:

Hi Niki,

Thank you for sending over your email. As discussed in my voicemail, we've reviewed your application and think you could be a good fit for our team. We're currently hiring for an advisor-level and management-level role, and both can be done 100% remotely. As a next step, I'd love to invite you to our Career Overview to learn more about the opportunity.

During this overview, our leadership team will discuss the following:

Position details and qualifications

The products and services we offer our clients

Compensation plans & career track options

Please use the link below to schedule a time that works best for you:

SCHEDULE CAREER OVERVIEW

Please note that the schedule is in Eastern Time. Let me know if there's any scheduling conflict or questions, Niki.

Sincerely,

Wow, how did I not see... Anyway, I did click the link and I scheduled. The information given during the overview sounded good. A survey that also looked legit was populated directly after for those who were interested in moving forward. I filled that out, answering what most stood out to me, explaining why I would be a good fit for the position, whether or not I had been convicted of any misdemeanors or felonies, what questions I might have, and submitted it. An automated message populated stating that someone would contact me asap. No critical personal information was asked nor given and no money was asked to be spent... YET. After pondering this for a moment, I decided to look on Reddit to see if anyone was saying anything about this and, boy oh boy, do I feel dumb.
