Scammer messaged me on a social media chatting app. He seemed legit, even after calling him a scammer. We chatted on WhatsApp and after a little back and forth he asked me to go to cash app and verify my identity. Which I did but afterwards I googled it that was a new scam, and it turned out to be. I never got back to him about whether I had verified my identity or not. I blocked him and deleted the app.
