I contacted Norton to cancel my account and to refund my money back to me. The person that answered the phone gave me a link to type in my URL and a download came on my screen once I hit enter. A Norton cancellation page came up so I put the information into the page. He then told me to make sure I logged into my bank account using the computer that I was using so that their server can verify that they refunded the funds. So instead of doing that on my computer, I did it on my phone. He then said ma'am, you did not log into your account through your computer, we need to verify that the funds were refunded. I said, I just told you that all of my funds were not refunded, you can take my word for it. He says ma'am, the server need to verify that you logged into your account and verify if the funds were submitted to you. I said hold up, so you want me to log into my bank account on the computer, so that your server can verify my bank information. So he began to yell at me saying, "Ma'am, no one is trying to get your information, we just need the server to verify that the refund went through and for you to log into your bank account through your computer." So I told him he need to stop yelling at me because that is horrible customer; and I repeated back to him his request which was suspect. He did not listen to me so I asked him for his name, ID# (which could be fact), and I asked for his supervisor. He told me he was the only supervisor and there was no one else who could help me with this. So I asked him, was he the only person working at Norton Antivirus really? He said at first, yes, then he changed it to no ma'am. So I kindly got off the phone with him to report this uncommon matter so that others can be aware. Who knows how many people he has scammed like this.

Got an email about a charge to Norton anti-virus. Talked to "David Morgan", who said this was Norton and said I was charged the $589.99 which was from an email that was now determined phishing.(after this manipulative event.) David said I am so sorry this happened to you. We can get this money back to you. He proceeded to ask me personal questions and I had to fill out a form that had my name phone number and and bank information.Had to install a secure server app; it was a green shield with the norton shape logo, since they were giving the money back and they were sending me a link I just had to access my account. They also told me they could give me my password to my bank account. I said there is something not OK here and said are you Norton and they said "yes". Have I asked you for any personal information and I said yes you did. He then hung up on me.
