I received a phone call from these people, seemed very nice and legitimate, trying to collect on an account I had already paid back in 2016 for which I have a receipt for. They wanted me to send them a copy of the receipt to verify that the account was taken care of, so I did. When they initially called they said they are going to sue me for the money and that the account holder kay's jewelers was suing me and that they would send paperwork, sometimes they hire the police to serve the paperwork and come serve and take you away. They called me back saying my receipt doesn't have an amount and essentially don't believe it's paid for, still trying to collect on the account and after I told them I contacted the police. They still keep calling to harass me and were told to stop calling. they said they are going to forward the info to their lawyers and may still enter a judgement against me, now how can you collect or sue someone that has already paid their debt and has a receipt to prove that.
