I was referred to her by a job I applied for off of Indeed Jobs website. They stated that she was looking for a personal assistant. I contacted her and she replied saying she was looking for a P.A. The weekly pay was $780. She began to deceive herself saying she was a 54 year old woman, retired civil engineer and currently a traveling entrepreneur. She was located about 15 miles from me, but conveniently out of town at the moment so we couldn’t set up an interview but she had work that needed to be done this week. She recruited my help and told me I got the job. She then told me she sent a $3850 check to my house for me to deposit into my bank and then asked me to look up flight information. I thought she sent me the check so I could pay for her flights and hotels. I deposited the check and it went through. Though the bank tipped me off telling me they’ve seen some scams like this and that I should be careful. So I played it out. She then told me to proceed to Walmart and do a money transfer for $2000 to a person over in CA. I got curious and played along more. Not doing what she told me, I emailed her saying I did whatever she asked. She then asked for a picture. I told her my WiFi would not let me send it over but that I have it. She then told me to take the rest and do iTunes gift card in denominations of $100s and $50s. Again told her no to the picture but yes to the action.

I am currently still engaged in conversation with her to waste time and prevent her from scamming others. I hope I am able to speak out to save others from financial troubles. (*This company's IDentity is being stolen. It really exists. The legitimate company, Per the company's website, it is headquartered in CANADA. It has 23 locations in 10 states in the U.S.)
