Received a text asking how I was doing from unknown number. I said I don’t know who this is. They responded saying they were “Nancy” and asked if I was Emily. Then proceeded to send me a picture of “themselves”. I immediately blocked this number.

My husband and I listed several items to sell on FB Marketplace. I got three people, all different names, but the same phone number saying they were interested in the items. The first and subsequent ones said they would send me a verfication code and kept saying "I want to make sure you are real." We have used FB Marketplace frequently and never had this happen before. I was lucky to notice that despite using different names, the phone number was the same. I never received the verfication code. I blocked the callers and took down the listing.

Buyer in FB marketplace wants to send you a 6-digit code and have you repeated back to them to verify that you are a real seller. They then use that six digit code to open a new Google Voice account in your name don't do it have a nice 20/22

Wanted to buy car. Had me send vir on car. Got report on website they provided. Fortunately it was paid through PayPal, so I think my only loss was the report cost.
