Type of a scam Tech Support
He said he could give me the license number for my Microsoft program or computer not sure. Then he walked me through some steps to find this number and then he read it to me. Thus verifying he was legit. I continued to ask questions. He instructed me to open something on the computer that showed that I supposedly had over 18,000 errors which meant my computer was very infected. He said he could help me by reinstalling the software. He led me to a screen that asked to allow him remote access. I asked again for his name, phone number etc. He refused saying he was busy and their were many others that wanted his help. On the screen that asked to let him have remote access warned that Microsoft would not offer help unsolicited. When I told him this he said he wanted to help me. While he is talking to me I try to find out info on their company. I then asked to speak to a manager and he said the manager was too busy and would not talk to me. I asked him to send an email with his name, company name, phone number, and address. He refused. He then told me he was going to hang up and block me from receiving help in the future. I said that was not very professional and again requested an email. He then hung up. Within 5 minutes a call came to our house phone from the same number and when I answered it no one was there. This is scary. I did not give him access, but wonder if I am at any other risk from this company. During the conversation I asked how much this service would cost and he tried to ignore the question and at one point he said $5 or $10 dollars. I asked what the money was for and he did not answer the question, just went on to say he would help me.
