Multiple Scam Text Attempts
I blocked the number the first time someone claiming the same company name reached out to me. The first attempt only requested a response to the text, but it also had grammar and spelling inconsistencies.
I have no record of applying to a similar position or company name either. If you Google the company, it's located in the Netherlands.
Natec job scam
A text message from 786-772-1127 was received at 7:32 am. The text message reads, " Hello! I'm Mauritz Herold from the company Natec Sunergy B.V. We are currently reaching out to you in regard to your resume approved for the Remote Data Entry Clerk/ Administrative Assistant position with a pay rate of $35.75/hr. Reply once you get this so an interview can be scheduled. Thank you. I replied back saying that I'm interested. Be there in the stated that I needed to install zoom on my phone which I did thinking that this would be a video interview but it was only a chat interview, which I should have realized was a red flag. But in a nutshell they do a long chat interview with you, and I must say they're damn good and convincing! They even sent me an offer letter, along with code of conduct, and then of course the W-2 forms. Luckily, I did not send anything back to them but I asked for a video chat. The one person that was chatting with me who was supposed to be the manager,, did not get back to me. Then the scammer deleted the picture that was on there. It's very sad that people do such a thing but at least I did not try to put a check in that they offered to send me for all the equipment that I would need.
