I was contacted via Facebook Messenger from what appeared to be an old friend. The "friend" asked if I knew of the Corporation for National and Community Service helping elderly people? My "friend" stated she had received $70,000 in cash from them, tax free. I responded back with some questions and they responded back with answers, and the name of another friend that had also received money and a number (316) 667-3552 with a contact person Brian Williams. I called the number but no answer. Later a text came from that number saying I could not call and talk to anyone due to the high volume of customers. Thru texting they asked for my full name for verification. I provided it and was told "congratulations I was in they're database". They then asked for my address, age, sex, if I was hearing impaired, cell number, email address, occupation, monthly income and zip code. The form was very crude, and the representative became impatient when I did not immediately send the information. Based on his poor English and grammar, I became suspicious and looked on the Toledo ScamPulse.com website. There were two other complaints almost identical to mine. At that point I texted them back and told them they were a scam. Thank You to the ScamPulse.com for offering this information to prevent the elderly and others from being scammed.
