I received a call from a person saying they were calling from a collection agency, National Dispute Resolution (they also said NDR). The person said I was being contacted to collect a debt of $1656. 32. When I asked what for, I was told for a Master Card that was unpaid and closed back in March of 2016 and they gave me the last 4 digits of the credit card number. I told them that I did not recall any of this information and I asked who, what company or business I was supposed to have had this card with or issued by? They said they were not allowed to give me that information. They said I had been sent information on this many times. I have received nothing. I asked them to send something to me to verify their story and they said No. A couple of hours later I received a call from a person saying they were an Independant Process Server and would be at my house in 2 days on June 7th between 3-5pm to "serve me" with papers and if I was not available, they would "serve me" at my place of employment. The phone numbers they used are 304-996-7225 and 346-463-9845. All of this happened today June 5th, 2024 within a few hours. Since then, in case I forgot something from 2016 and just to make sure, I contacted Equifax, Experian & Trans Union and all told me that there was never a Master Card on my credit reports ending with those 4 numbers. I was also told there are no Collections on my credit reports. Just what I suspected..... SCAM. I went online to check their website www.nationaldisputeresolution.com and my PC Security System gave me an alert of Threat Found when attempting to access their website.
