I recieved a call from a Tony Gomez, stating that he was instructed to disconnet utliities service do to non-payment. I was instructed to call customer service to help me at 1-800-590-9023 and speak with a representative who could help me avoid a disconnection. I called spoke to a woman named Amy Williams (ext 17) who instructed me to go to Dollar General and purchase two "Green Pack" Cards for $500.00 each, with cash and not to inform the seller that they would be used by a business. After purchasing them I was to call her back with the card numbers and then my service would not be disconnected. They wanted to know how long it would take me to go and purchases these cards and call back so that they could help me avoid Tony Gomez coming to disconnect our service.

So I called our National Grid number on our bill to ask about a disconnect to our service and they informed me that our service was fine and we were a target of a scam.

When Tony Gomez called me back a while later he said he was on his way to disconnect and wanted to know if I purchased the cards

I told him I spoke with National Grid and our acccount was fine and he hung up.
