He had an Irish accent. He came to our door saying he was doing work at the house next door. He gave us an estimate of $1,000 to redo our brick porch steps. After cutting through the brick, he claimed the foundation was defected and needed to be redone. The cost went to $10,000.When the job was finished it looked terrible. In addition, he left concreate stains on the driveway that will not wash away. He also wanted us to pay additional money for him to hall his refuse (old brick and concreate) out of our yard.

I noticed he license plate on his truck was from FL. He was asked if we needed a permit to start work and he said no. He also said his work is guaranteed for 10 years yet we received no paperwork.
