He wanted to know my annual income from my tax form and then transferred me to a supervisor. Supervisor was ready to help complete the process, confirmed my email address, and asked for my password. I told her, like I told the prior person -I did not feel comfortable sharing my password. She continued to explain that they could not proceed without my password. I told her I wanted to check out the agency before I shared my password and I asked for a phone number. She gave me one with an extension and told me I had two hours for the phone number. I called the US Dept. of Ed. (#160805008859) and verified that I do NOT need to share any personal information, including my password or email - that I could complete the paperwork from their website and that I could check the name of the agency with the ScamPulse.com. So, I call the "National Student Loan Forgiveness Department" back at the number they gave and they answered "US Federal Loan Forgiveness Center". He wanted to know how much I owed in Loans and my email address. He said I could qualify up to over 70% of loan forgiveness. Instead of sharing my email address - I suggested the person he wanted to transfer me to could call me back and the guy hung up on me.
