ITS A SCAM!

I had someone contact me about my car, which I posted on Craigslist recently. After a short and seemingly normal back and forth, they asked me to provide an NTR paper, which I had never heard of. They sent me a link, which I almost followed through with, but something seemed fishy about it. The person's text messages were worded strangely and he was oddly pushy when I offered carfax instead. He said his name is David.

It is a scam! They want to take your information and credit card/sell your identity
Do not fall for it!
This website and "buyer" is not legit.
If you're a seller prepare your own report with a trusted site like carfax/vincheck etc or have the buyer buy their own carfax/history report to check your vin.

Next file a FTC text complaint to cancel their phone number, close their scam site or even help raise investigations. These scammers must go go go. Hope they find real jobs instead

Same experience, wants to meet at 4pm, no haggling will except the offer I posted for my truck. Wants me to go to his nationtitlereport website. I sent him a carfax report bc they are accredited by state and gov. He snaps back at me saying "this report is not what I asked, right?" "I need it to come from this one" I said "if you can't trust carfax then you got problems buddy. Buh- bye" and that when I found out how popular he is on here.

NATIONAL TITLE REPORT IS SCAM

They contact me on offer up to make an appointment to buy in cash my car. Then ask for a NTR and send the website. Once you put the info to pay they'll take your info. The guy who contact me said he is Emanuel and the phone number was 2136006233. Careful and don't waste your time! Even on Offer up, they are users with no history or record buying.

Selling a vehicle online. This scammer wants me to run my tittle history via https://nationaltitlereports.com/ before seeing my vehicle. Website is fraudulent.

I am glad I found this as I just experienced the same thing. An individual by the name of “Steve” asked for the same NTR report from nationaltitlereports.com. He said he wanted to meet to see the vehicle but would not respond to when and would never confirm on the time. I decided to also ask if CarFax was okay and he said “NP but nationaltitlereports is cheaper.” So once I sent the CarFax report, he never responded. The report was actually pretty strong so I don’t think he ran away because of any poor results on the report. I also posted the car up on Craigslist and also OfferUp. Located in Southern Orange County.

So "Steve" called me regarding my car which is for sale on Craigslist and other online sites. He said he wanted to purchase my vehicle for the entire amount and not haggle. He said that I needed to go to www.nationaltitalreports.com to get a Vehicle History report for $25. I told him that I could use CarFax as I am familiar with that website. He then stated that the "NTR report" is legit and the only way he does business. This caused red flags for me. He would not accept CarFax and insisted on me using the website he wanted. I went to the website and noticed that there were a ton of dead links on there. Another Red Flag. There is no way to contact anyone on that site and the "contact us" is also a dead link.
