List a motorcycle for sale online and was contacted by a man calling himself Carlos. He told me he needed a report checking the VIN and that it had to be pulled from nationalbikereport.com because that's the only site he trusted. I already had a report for the bike and wasn't going to pay to run another. I felt something was wrong so I did some checking and found out that this is a scam used to get $25 from you and then they never come to purchase the bike your selling. He didn't fool me but tried to...BEWARE

I was contacted via cell phone interested in purchasing my motorcycle. The person stated that they just wanted to a VIN check to ensure the bike was not in accidents etc. The caller provided https://nationalbikereport.com as the site to retrieve this report and the cost was $25.00. The potential buyer stated they were coming from Miami and would come the next day after 5pm once the report clears. We sent the potential client buyer the report and they said thanks and never heard back. I contacted the company and my email was returned stating undeliverable. There is no phone number on the website. The charge on my bank which I have already disputed states VHCLREPO.
