I got a call from a restricted number. The male on the phone knew my full name and said he had a legal document he needed to deliver. He knew the avenue that I live on. I did not know the person who sent the document which I told him. He asked me if I knew where he was or knew him. I said no and asked what the documents were. He said he couldn't tell me. He asked my if my last name was changes, knowing my maiden name and if I was married before, maybe this guy sending me the documents was my ex-husband. I told him no, I was not married before that the sender's last name was my maiden name but again I didn't know him. I asked him to deliver the package and he said he now couldn't because I didn't know him. So I told him if my name was on the package and it was for me then I want to read this document and to deliver it. He hung up. I looked up their website and called the number. A man answered, not the same man, just saying hello, not a greeting. I asked him if he has a computer system that he could look up the call and explained what had happened. He said he didn't know and that there was something in the system but it was for the person they said it was from. I asked him how they knew my full name, address and maiden name and he couldn't answer. I asked if he would look into this call as I was very nervous that they had this information but also possibly a legal document. He took my number. I am hoping this is a legit delivery service and that this was just a mistake but again very concerning they had this information on me, hung up and refused to give me more information or deliver the document they supposedly had for me. It almost seems like they were looking for this person and just called me because my maiden name matched his (not my middle name). I have no clue but it seemed very sketchy and I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience. It was not a scam I hope, I hope they do not have my information using it for anything. Please do not share the detail with them or my name as I am nervous.
