Next I get an email from a Mr. Natsumi Kaoru Reiko explaining the position etc. and asking for my resume. [see attachment for details]. I send my resume and next day get a phone call from Mr Reiko where he reiterates the job description, compensation and what their process will be for this position: they will set up a local bank account in either my name or my company for their US customers to send their payment to. I will retain 5% for myself and have the bank to wire 95% to the company. They will provide me with copies of all outstanding and new US orders so I can followup via phone/email with the customers and keep track of payments, etc. The next day I receive another email from Reiko saying he recommending me to his management. Two days later I get another email from Mr Reiko saying that his management has approved me and that they are already working on an MOU for me; but they need to know whether I want the MOU between me and the company or between my company and Harumi Steel. I respond that I will seek advice of my CPA and attorney and will let him know as soon as I have that discussion with them.
I suspect Mr Reiko will eventually as for my SSN or company FID and my bank name and account number so they can deposit my first expense payment. They will say they need this information to complete the MOU.
My sense is that this is some kind on money laundering scheme and that they are attempting to recruit me as the "launder." As anticipated my CPA and Attorney have advised me to not do this and cease communications.
