apparent contact from a personal friend's husband on Facebook told me to contact Ted Smith of NED for a government grant like the one he had just received. since it was a "friend," I filled out the scam web info, was approved and was told the check for $120,000 would be FEDEX'd and received in two days. great. then, Ted told me I had to get two $500 Apple cards from a local CVS, Walgreens or Dollar General to pay the "processing fee" for the grant check. contacted my Facebook friend who verified that her husband was not even on Facebook. then reported it here.
