The website states AKC Registered Cavapoos. Cavapoos are not a pure breed, so they can't be AKC registered. The images on the website are used on other sites. The ages of the dogs stated are not an accurate depiction for the dogs pictured in the images. The auto reply I filled out came with spelling errors, was not "signed" with the breeders name or have any other contact information. The fact that's it was an auto reply email is also a dead giveaway of a scam. After filling out their online form, I received a text message from them. I did not reply.

I was scammed by Nelson Cavapoo Family, a company that was supposedly selling Cavapoo puppies. I found their website online and purchased a puppy for $850 (and an additional ~$300 for out-of-state transportation). To purchase a puppy, I had to fill out a form online providing my name, email, and phone number. Nelson then texted me and helped me through the process of purchasing the puppy. He was very responsive in answering my questions. He even called me to answer any of my pending questions. I had to give him details about my address (so he can send me the puppy) as well as my name. I also have to provide him with veterinary clinics/hospitals that I have access to. He told me to send the money through Zelle. The Zelle account was under the name, "Malik", and the email is "[email protected]". After I paid the costs and sent him a confirmation photograph of the Zelle transfer, he sent me the "Transfer of Dog Ownership Agreement", which I had to sign and send back to him. The puppy was supposed to arrive the day after. Nelson told me he will send the transportation details that morning.

The day came when I was supposed to receive my puppy. I texted Nelson numerous times and given him many calls, but he did not reply. The afternoon came, and I got an email from Vatican Courier Service, which I found was a scam. The whole day passed and Nelson hadn't responded and the puppy hadn't arrived.
