Network Care Store Reports & Reviews (1)

- Breckenridge, CO, USA

While using our computer, a pop-up screen appeared warning that we had been hacked and to call a technician immediately about the hack. We called and were told that they were from an authorized Microsoft Technical Support (www.webnetworksupport.com) They showed us our IP address and all the FOREIGN Ip addresses that were hacking us. They then offered to fix it for us for $599.99 or take it to an authorized computer store to have the hack fixed - closest one was 100 miles away. I researched that store and found no listings for it, checked with ScamPulse.com and found no listings as well. The name of the "fixer" store was Network Care Store in Broomfield, CO - no listing anywhere of that store or physical address they gave me. I became highly suspicious and terminated the call - no money was exchanged. They claimed that McAfee and Norton couldn't protect you from Trojan Malware, which in fact those programs CAN protect you. That should have been the key to hang up. They called the virus Tiny Banker which is a virus that could affect major banks, so it sounded legitimate.

Beware of all pop-up screens while using your internet either at home or on a non-secured public WiFi
