I was contacted via text message asking if I was still interested in a remote data entry position. I was asked to send my resume to their email which seemed legit. I researched the company called “NeuroGenetic Pharmaceuticals” and it checked out. Then we conversed via email and I took an assessment to see if I was right for the job. Same day I was offered the position, which I accepted and was then asked to download the Telegram app to further converse there. The HR lady I was communicating with “Caitlin Murray” began to get pushy when I wasn’t replying quickly enough to her telegram messages. She also mentioned multiple times that they use blockchain technology and would need me to deposit a check to “fund my wallet” to use for data entry. It all wasn’t adding up, so I said I can’t verify the information that was being exchanged and she immediately deleted the Telegram conversations and her profile on there. Luckily she didn’t get much personal information from me.
