I work for xxxxx and one of our phone numbers is 971-317-xxxx one digit off from the scam phone number. Since Monday 9/19/2016 we have received over 100 calls from upset people who have received a message from a "Kevin Mason" claiming to be with the IRS and threatening jail time if they don't pay the international taxes they owe. Needless to say getting this many calls from very confused and angry people has affected our ability to do business, and while we understand these people are just upset it takes a toll to have a consistent stream of people yelling and cursing at at us, and it takes time away from our ability to work having to explain that we are not connected to this scam and justify our business. The scam seems to be calling people from all over the country and almost all of the calls have been out of state. We called the phone company to see who owned the number and that's how we got the name of Neutral Tandem-Oregon LLC.
