Then the following day after doing the paperwork they said they went to the courier service and I was told I needed to pay over $800 for a specialized crate due to covid and special restrictions. I did not send anymore money.
Spoke with the “courier service” and i requested to see a current picture and he refused until he got the money and then hung up on me.
I called the other number of the “cat breeders” which a man who I spoke with before answered, I asked to speak with his wife and he said she couldn’t talk. Then hung up on me. I received an email acting like it was coming from her and then they tried to get me to only spend a certain amount on the crate and they’ll cover part of it. I refused. I told them to either rent the crate themselves and they can get reimbursed or give me my refund.
Next thing I know the number of the breeder was no longer in service.
The first zelle account they told me to send it over was rejected so they never got the money which they didn’t and it was stated because the had exceeded the weekly amount which I googled and that is possible, so they gave me a different one which then went through.
$500 now I have to work on getting back.
Be careful with online purchases! If it’s too good to be true it probably is.
