Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
They confirm and sounded all good after many calls.
Then say it should have gone to the sponsors In Hong Kong but was a mistake but HK has agreed to honor the winning etc.. but have to verify with them on the phone to make sure we have the real winning ticket etc.
Did all that then at very last he says HK law requires permit to transfer money to private person etc.
It costs $7,000 but that ok as they will pay half and I pay half BUT that has to be up front.
I smelt a rat and he got angry and abusive.. Then invites me to come to Hong Kong at his office at

Well it’s a very professionally set up scam, very easy to believe as
Mr Tan is a well spoken, convincing man.
I am in New Zealand not USA
