I tried to purchase a puppy from this website, it looked legit, checked ScamPulse.com to see if the website had ever been reported, nothing was found used google lens to see if the picture were found anywhere else, nothing popped up. I communicated with a person through text mostly, they seemed genuine, asked for verification of vaccination etc. they did not send me anything but pictures of the puppy. I texted back with the undertone that I wasn’t trusting the validity of the puppy. So he texted me back stating that he is a honest breeder, and his business is being passed to his children and that he would NEVER do anything fraudulent that would jeopardize his children’s future. So I continued to communicate that I needed to think and do some searching. The next day after texting him with some additional questions I decided not to follow my gut and sent him $1000.00 by zelle, he responded by asking to see screenshot of the completed transaction, I sent it, then he said he would start the paperwork. I waited for hours without getting any further communication I tried texting several times with no answer I finally called the number on the 2nd try the guy answered and said he was in a meeting and will call me back shortly (this is on a Saturday) so I waited 2 hours with no return call, so I texted back and asked him to return my money. He called me and told me to check my email that he sent me a bill of sale and told me to sign it so he can get ready to ship puppy. I refused to sign it because he spelled Bichon Frise, B-I-C-H-O-N-S F-R-E-E-S-E, in 4 different spots on the document, when I talked to him he said that someone else had typed up the document while he was in his meeting, and that he would fix it and send me another one. He sent me another one a couple of hours later ( it’s approximately 5pm Saturday) he calls me to tell me to check my email, at this point I’m frustrated with him and telling him that I’m feeling like a fool, because I believe he is not being honest with me and he is trying to apologize and calm me down and tell me that I will have my puppy the next day (Sunday) he promises over and over again and tells me “I’m a Christian, I would never be dishonest “ so I told him I will see tomorrow what happens. On Sunday morning I waited to see if he would make the first contact, about 9:30am he calls me, he said good morning, I just wanted to let you know that I contacted the shipping company but they are closed today so there are no deliveries on Sunday (as a breeder that ships all over should know their hours) he apologized and said that puppy will be shipped first thing Monday, I said ok let’s see what happens Monday. I did not hear from him so I’m just waiting to see what is going to happen at this point (I kinda already knew I was duped) so I waited, then I got an email from a shipping company saying they have a puppy and wanted me to verify my information, i said it’s correct, they emailed back and said the puppy is now with doctor for last check and that once completed they will send me departure and arrival times. So within 5 minutes the breeder called me and said the shipping company should be contacting you, I said they have emailed me to verify my information and I told him on the phone “they better not ask me for any more money because I paid you for shipping cost” he said “no, no, no, they will not ask you, I have already paid them the shipping costs “ I said ok. Then I waited, 3 hours go by without contact so I messaged the shipping company asking for status, I waited another hour and still nothing so I called the “breeder” but no answer so texted him, no answer, so I had my so call from his phone and surprise, he answered, my son said “why are you not answering my mother, he said he just got out of a meeting, he then immediately called me back and I was very angry with him he told me I needed to check my email, I look at my email, what do you know a brand new message just received from the shipping company, I read it, the shipping company is telling me that the puppy just finished with the doctor, and the doctor has determined that this breed of dog is required to be in a special crate that is pressurized and is specially equipped to hold water and food for the trip, and the crates are not for sale and to be used only for the flight but you are required to pay 100 of the cost of the crate and it will be refunded back to you upon arrival. I answered back that I am not paying another dime and if they required more money get it from the seller because I already paid him the shipping cost. So then I called breeder back and argued with him he said it was on the bill of sale that I would paid for any crates if the shipping company says it’s required (but that is not stated that way on the bill of sale) I told him to send me my money back and he could go get his dog and I hung up, as soon as I hung up the “shipping company “ called me and told me that if I don’t rent the crate for $3000 that the puppy could die, I told him I am not going to rent a crate that is never going to leave the plane, so therefore it is not in my possession to ensure it’s return, I said “do what legitimate shipping companies do, ship the puppy in a box with holes and I will sign any documentation releasing you of any wrongdoing in the event of death, the guy unprofessionally yelled at me and said he was going to call the attorney and tell them I want them to kill the puppy and continued to yell at me and I told him the to have the seller rent the crate , he told me “ you have to pay, I will get attorney, it’s on the bill of sale that you agreed to pay for the crate “ and I said “you are the shipping company how do you know about an agreement between me and the seller” he said because the shipping company requires it at that point I told them that I had recorded every conversation, screenshot everything text messages, emails, website EVERYTHING, and I am notifying everyone FBI, BBB, bank investigation unit and every social media platform they hung up
