This is a home warranty program set up to appear as if it was a final notice from my mortgage company Wells Fargo. It is deliberately misleading and designed to scare people into buying their products.

Got a letter about renewing home warranty with bank lender info. No return address. Says final notice for mortgage maintanence requirements immediate response requested. This is concerning my recently deceased father who kept immaculate records and I cannot find anything concerning this in the 2023 year or 2024

My mother who was widowed in December 2021, received the attached Home Warranty notice. She just gave it to me and I followed up to see if this was something that my Dad paid for in the past. They said they could not find records because the account lapsed. They said that in the next 3-4 months the "City" of Branchburg (it's a Township not a City) would be requiring houses older than 1975 to update their electrical panels and their sewer lines that go from the house to the street from cast iron to PVC. They said the City would be billing us between $6-7,000 dollars for this work but if we got the insurance we would be covered for the work. The cost of the insurance they said would be $4400 and would also cover appliances. I told them I would let them know. It called the Township Engineer and he said absolutely not. He said they would never require that kind of work. So this is a scam. I wanted you to know about it. If my mother responded she may have fell for it. Very scary and sad that they would do this....

Consumer received a letter in the mail from a company called new home warranty and they wanted her to sign up for the warranty and needed her credit card information quickly since they were closing for the day. Consumer mentioned that the letter was the exact same except for the color of the paper when compared to another one that she had received from a home warranty services.

Received a THREATENING LETTER titled FINAL NOTICE on pink paper implying that my home warranty expired and attempting to sell me a home warranty. While this might not be illegal, it is definitely unethical. No company name. no address, no website, no contact information except a phone #. Obviously a scammer, not a legitimate company.

I received an Urgent letter about an extended home warranty expiring on my home. I don't even have a home warranty Plan. Called 800-871-0249 Scammer New Home Warranty wanted me to send them $99.00 to start. I did not give them any information.

Just sends mail that looks like your house is about to lose its insurance. Pink letter. Final Notice etc .

Sent numerous times to my elderly mom

- Woodstock, CT, USA

The letter said "My home warranty may be expiring".

Looked very official. And carried a "FINAL NOTICE" as the header.

I know who carries coverage for my home - but afraid they're going to target seniors who maybe don't know who their actual insurance is with and scam them.

Further down they tell me they provide coverage for my A/C, refrigerator, hot water heater and furnace.
