Was offered a job (turns out to be a scam) and was told to get a background check done (free trial, so no out of pocket costs). I signed up with nexchek for a free trial and asked how to cancel it before they bill me, and they said to send a message to them and they will cancel it. So I did the free trial, got the background check which had a lot of false connections and info mixed in with correct info. I messaged to cancel subscription on the 16th and no reply. I sent multiple messages and replied to emails with no success. Today (18th) they charged my card for the subscription fee. I am now working with my bank to block the charge based on fraud. They have a ScamPulse.com A+ sticker on their site and appeared legit. Very frustrating. Luckily no SSN was entered anywhere, but still a scam.
