I've never heard of this Japanese company, don't speak Japanese, and haven't been applying for jobs. Plus, what kind of financially geared job offer doesn't require that I have some sort of specific background in econ/fin? Needless to say, my "scam" senses started lighting up, and it took me a few minutes of research to determine this email was almost certainly some sort of scam. Here is the email:
Hello (First Name Last Name),
Our R&D team shortlisted your email address via CRM recruitment platform as a possible match for this position. We are in need of a reputable company/individual in America/Canada that can act as our company financial representative with commission/benefits. Your business/profession does not matter, this will only take a few minutes of your time weekly.
