I received text messages from 318-474-7297 to confirm I received the check. When I called the number, a man answered and would not state his name and did not speak well, and hung up on me. I texted the number asking to verify the amount on the check and the payee. He text back verifying Check amount for $2550 and from Sabadell United Bank. The amount was wrong but the bank was right.
I believe this is a scam and will not be cashing the check. Please advise if I should report elsewhere. Here is an email from them:
