I was interested in a munchkin kitten, I found this "breeder" online along with pictures of the kittens (there was about 10 different ones) I instantly fell in love with a 10 week old little girl named Rosie. The cost of the kittens were $800.00. On other websites munchkin kittens were double that amount. I was able to negotiate the price and we settled on $600.00. I recieved instructions to send it through Pay Pal. That night I went to Walgreens and deposited $600.00 into my PayPal account. I did not use pay pal very often so I was not familiar with how it worked. I was told through a email to click on the option "family and friends" when sending the $600.00 through PayPal. After they recieved the money, the next step was getting him to the airport. I was told that a crate would be provided along with paperwork. I started receiving ALOT of emails and phone calls from someone stating that they worked for the airlines and that the crate provided was not suitable for flying and that i would have to provide $1500.00 for a appropriate, temperature controlled crate suitable for the cat to be transported. Then i was told that once the cat got delivered 90% of the $1500.00 would be refunded back to me. At this point i told them that i was no longer interested and that i would appreciate a refund of my $600.00. They replied by telling me that I would have my money back in my account in 2 weeks. I NEVER recieved my refund. So I decided to contact PayPal to see if anything could be done in regards to getting my money back. I told them what happened and as soon as i mentioned "family and friends" my hopes of getting my money back was gone. He told me that if it was under "family and friends" Pay Pal is not responsible for a refund on anything purchased. The whole thing was a scam and i was out $600.00. I sent numerous emails w ith no response then shortly after the website was taken down. Fast forward about 6 months just out of curiosity i look up munchkin kittens for sale. I click on a website Renivall munchkin kittens and there was Rosie. Same picture and stilll 10 weeks old along with the other kittens pictured. Its been over a year that this happened and has since found my fur baby Jas-purr. But like a cat i again got curious. I type in munchkin kittens for sale, i click on this website lynnwood munchkins cattery and who do i see??? Rosie still 10 weeks old along with the other cats listed with her. All they do is shut down one website and open another. They need to be stopped.
