Supposedly the invoice is from a company in Etobico, Ontario, Canada, to ship a sea can from their "Manitoba" store to my home in Alberta, for 1/2 the cost of another company here in Edmonton. Doing due diligence I checked the webpage, and called the number they listed, and began google searches. While talking, I informed them I was worried about scams, about con men creating fake webpages, (as I checked out there's for errors like grammar, spelling, syntax, dates, etcetera. I said I would do the deal, but only COD. They did not say no, but said its not a scam "just check our webpage!" I said, "weren't you listening, scam artists are creating fake webpages" and asked for any other kind of proof, else I would pay by COD, and if they can't do either, then I would be safer going to that other company that costs more. His reply, "well if you know a place I advise you to go there." A) no company ever does that, they try to appease and reason and look for solutions, b) they avoided discussing COD, which would be a legitimate solution, c) while on the website, the person I was speaking with had a very strong overseas accent and the website showed a "Mark Davies" as one of the principles of the company...just as was reported by another person saying they were scammed, d) I got called earlier today by a woman with the same strong foreign accent asking me when I could send funds to close the deal, which seemed very pushy since I had only received pictures (with a specifc unit number guaranteed, a couple hours earlier. The beige container's number (I declined a blue one) in the picture was a BSLU802459322G1. I do not know for a fact it is a scam, it just seems so suspicious and there are red flags from both the website and other reports of scams. I will be contacting the RCMP fraud squad to see if they have any other reports of this company. Their website is nitrocontainer.com

I viewed an add on Facebook marketplace in the Logistics Procurement Professional Marketplace group. It was for a 10x8 shipping Container listed for 1650$ , from a sales representative for Nitro Containers. We emailed back and forth and I received a professional estimate for 1650$ and 350$ for delivery. I then received a professional invoice for 2000$. I was told to send the funds via email transfer. I conducted the e transfer that was auto deposited and they responded with the invoice and said they would deliver 3 days later at 5pm. Further investigation online showed fake addresses etc. I contacted the place that was suggested they operated out of. The person working st the establishment stated she has had multiple people ask about nitro containers and there subsequent fraudulent claims. She even stated she has a list if people who have been scammed for money. I asked the representative of nitro containers for my refund. Received a cancelation notice but no monies as of this time. Multiple phone calls have been issued. The representatives stayed it takes time to refund. I have reported nitro containers to my bank. I have reported nitro containers fraud scam to the Niagara Regional Police Department.

A fake address was used. For the New Jersey location as well as the Dallas location.

Shipping from New Jersey to the panhandle of Texas was $550 for two 40’ containers. Legally hauling two containers without and expensive permit is illegal. Two the price of fuel today, you wouldn’t be able to drive a car that distance for that price.

The so called head of operations guy is named Mark Davies. White guy with brown hair and blue eyes. I don’t want to discriminate but I was talking with an Indian. This didn’t add up to me personally. The same with the so called Italian owner that just happened to have the time to speak with a guy interested in spending a small fraction of what the company should be worth since they are world wide.

They then tried to get me to wire money in full before delivery.

I asked why it was so cheap to haul and they stated because you are buying in bulk. Mind you when I first got quoted I only wanted two containers until I realized what the overall cost was for them. I was quoted $550 to ship both containers at that time. They had no idea I wanted twelve when they quoted me $550 for shipping.

They scrambled trying to get stories straight and then tried to negotiate with me on the price.

I was in contact with a gentleman on Facebook that was recently created. It has now been deleted in just a few days.
