This comes down to false advertising. We purchased a Christmas gift for our son and what we received look nothing like the product their online detail page and images show. Totally different color and material of what we received vs. product lifestyle images shown online. As I dig deeper, I also notice fake reviews posted. Same bedspread, two years apart, different but similar user names. I'm currently battling them for get the product returned. I think it's fair for me to pay return shipping but their mandatory 20% restock fee isn't justified. This isn't buyer's remorse, it's false advertising and we shouldnt' be dinged because they're trying to dupe shoppers. Current pushback from the vendor is their terms and conditions don't allow a waiver of the restock fee; shouldn't that only apply if they delivered the goods they're advertising? I have a long history working in e-commerce and there are more red flags I'm starting to see. 329 reviews, ALL four and five stars, along with the fake example I noted above. I have a picture of the fake reviews and the product we received vs. what they present on their website and would be happy to provide those for additional context. Thank you for your help making the internet a safer place to shop!
