This is a common tactic. The scammer reaches out with a job offer and tries to set up an interview as soon as possible. They will only do a text interview, not video. They flatter the victim and as part of the package of compensation they say they will supply the candidate with the equipment needed to do the work. I have always stopped it there, but the idea is to send the victim a lot of expensive equipment and tie them up with the costs.

Here is the initial email

Thank you for your preliminary application for the Junior Video Editor (REMOTE) position at NorthBay Health. After reviewing your application. Our online recruitment team has recommended you for the open position and you’re among the candidates shortlisted for a virtual screening test/interview session with a Senior Recruiter at NorthBay Health.

The window available for this screening interview is today Tuesday, 6th and tomorrow Wednesday, 7th of February from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST. Meaning you can schedule your interview in between the days and hours. This virtual screening test/interview is online through Email correspondence and Skype. The goal of this interview is for us to get to know you better, and for you to ask any questions you may have. We want to ensure that your skills, goals and ambitions match our company culture and the position.

Note that the Company will be setting up a Mini office for you at home if you are hired at the end of this interview, for proper calculation of your hour. This is going to be an online and work from home job, fully REMOTE position. The working hours are flexible where you could choose to work from anywhere of your choice.
