Northern Elite Van Lines/ Moving Relocation Stsytems Reports & Reviews (10)

Set up a move with them early and had to pay a deposit of ******** Friday afternoon they sent me a bill of lading to sign before my move on Monday that had NO DELIVERY date. I refused to sign it and the office said they normally delivered in 3 days but had up to 9. When I contacted them originally I set up 1 month early for pick up one day and delivery the next. So here I was at 3 pm on a Friday trying to find someone to move my 3 bedroom house from CT to DE on Monday. Fortunately I did and they were wonderful and $2,000 CHEAPER than Northern Elite Van Lines who refused to give back my deposit. I had to get my credit card company involved and still trying to get my money back. Check the BBB and Google and any sites you can find. Scammers, beware of them! I would give them a zero if I could

We have moved 17 times and have to say this was the worst experience ever.

Terrible communication/customer service

Major issue with damaged items/ not just damaged but broken

Items completely missing

Never received my bill after asking numerous times

Held hostage for our items. Said they wouldn’t unload until paid in cash or money order!

The bill more than doubled original quote. Even after my wife and I bringing 3 loads down ourselves

If I could give 1 "complement" it would be how convincing they are- and they know how to talk that ish..so it sounds right! (Not really a compliment- but you catch my drift?) Other than that- I really wish I would have seen these reviews before I went with this company. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Nothing over 0 star- overall. Misleading, VERY overpriced, unprofessional, rude, and damaged properties are some of the words to describe my recent experience with them. Too much money for all of the mistakes that were made. *thumbs completely down*

We hired Northern Elite Van Lines to move property from NJ to NC. We have been given several delivery dates since Jan 16…a Sunday when they picked it up and charged us extra. Our property has NOT been delivered yet. We were told “the truck was packed wrong and the property/truck went to Florida first. We were promised different delivery dates and told they don’t deliver on weekends…yet they picked up on a Sunday. We were constantly told to refer to the contract…Jennifer is incompetent. We were told this is a family business that has been moving cross country for years…BAD FAMILY BUSINESS! The interesting thing is some of the movers didn’t even speak English. It’s been two weeks and we are STILL waiting on our furniture. They say it will be delivered tomorrow…which by the way, is a Saturday. I think we’ve been scammed…and the want additional money to deliver it. Now, when we call NO ONE answers the phone and you can’t even curse them out in a voicemail…cause their mailbox is full!

They quoted me on a $2500 quote for a 2 bedroom move. All of my things were in this 5x15 storage unit and they took less than half. They said it was 400 sq ft and I would have to pay $1500 more to get the rest of these items from this unit. This is one of the smallest units.

This company is a scam. Asked for a quote to move items from a 5 x 15 storage unit and was told I would get a "10ft box truck". I had the same experience as the other reviews with Seth and Chris from google. Seth underquoted me so when the movers came they said in order to take everything they would need an additional $1500 and that I was quoted at 400 square feet. I asked for something for a 2 bedroom apartment.

At that time, I called Seth and he had me talk to Chris who was obviously an obnoxious kid, but said he was the manager and the only person in charge. They yelled at me and were extremely rude to me. Then there was Jennifer who collected the money who at least was able to pretend to be a more level-headed individual. And then she referred me to “Michael” who apologized, but after the way I had been treated and spoken to, I expressed to Jennifer that I just wanted to either figure out a way to get all of my things moved at the rate I was quoted or get my things and move on. She said I would need to wait until Monday because it was the day before Christmas Eve. Made sense to me, but at the end of the day, “Michael” (with a middle eastern accent, this only matters because later a guy possibly “Nelson” with a Spanish accent said I had spoke to him so they were all pretending to be someone else) called and said I "needed to get my things now!" That his "company no longer wanted to do business with me" when I asked him about a resolution since they already had some of my things. I continuously asked why I was being spoken to and treated this way. It was 5pm, the day before Christmas Eve and now the 3rd man from this company was yelling at me because I was trying to get the service that was promised to me. It was crazy! I ended up going on Monday with the police to some lighting company at 522 Cortlandt Street in Belleville, NJ which is where the warehouse was where my things were stored. Yes, the actual address is a lighting company out front. Not a moving company at all. The police told me that they have complaints about this company all the time. I was told that many people end up not getting their things back from them and when I looked, sure enough, these places can auction off your things. So when the officer came, he stayed with me as I spoke to a 4th man. He made me pay additional money in cash to get my things back even though I had already paid them a deposit. He then, after the truck was loaded and the police left, he blocked the moving truck in with his car and made me sign a contract that the job was completed as ordered but it was not and I had to call the police back. I had already signed that I had gotten my items back but I did not want to sign the contract. I recorded him saying that I needed to sign that the service was completed as contracted and stated that it wasn’t. Save yourself the hassle and the trouble. They accused me of not wanting to pay after they canceled the contract and breached it and now I still have to pay. I paid over $1800 so far for this and I still have to arrange my move which I likely will be doing myself now after this experience. They definitely take advantage of people because time is generally of the essence when moving but that wasn’t the case for me, so I was able to stick it out a bit. This is a horrible company. I filed a complaint with the BBB, the federal agency (safer.fmcsa.dot.gov) and I’m filing with the NJ Dept of community affairs as well. Also, my review with pictures of these people, the size of my storage unit, what they removed for the $2400 that I was quoted and what was left that they wanted an additional $1500 for so you can see the size of the estimate. Also, the location is available on yelp and google. I got my things back, thank God for the police, my brothers, and my son. I just also hate that I feel taken advantage of as a woman too.

My pick up date was messed up, my drop off date was changed 5 times, I was underquoted and ultimately overcharged. I took off work several days that they never showed and I missed money and vacation days! In total I had about $5,000 either damaged or lost and they're trying to only pay $92 back. The movers themselves did not work for the moving company! They were contracted out and complained about the company the whole time. They broke several items in front of me and harassed me weeks after, sending flirty text messages weekly, making me very uncomfortable since they had my address. I am so upset that they would treat someone's possessions and time with with zero regard. I've been trying to contact the insurance company associated with the contract but they do not respond and the phone line cuts out every time. I implore you, DO NOT HIRE THEM. They tried to pay me $500 to remove bad reviews, but I would not because the experience was just that horrible.

"Salesmen" call customer leads from Cape Coral, FL saying they are located in Belleville, New Jersey. They are in fact calling the same leads from two companies: Northern Elite Van Lines and Moving Relocation Systems LLC (https://www.bbb.org/us/nj/wallington/profile/moving-companies/moving-relocation... The business registered to Florida under Sunbiz.org is Moving Professionals 24/7 LLC FEI/EIN 82-2123658. They offer customers "price beat deals" as if the other competitor isn't in the same room as themselves. They warn customers that BROKER moving companies, and not CARRIERS of HHG, call from Florida and other southern states. The Department of Transportation Saferweb Company Snapshot shows both companies as Active carriers located in Bellville, NJ.

I quit the sales position after 4 weeks because customers were accusing Northern Elite Van Lines and Moving Relocation Systems LLC of being a broker and the work is unethical. They know that I know they are scammers, they have my personal information and they never paid my last week commission. I am a mother and that money was supposed to get my kid ready for school this year.
