I got an email from someone claiming to be Norton 360. The email said they were going to charge my account but I have no subscriptions with Norton and the phone number in the email wasn't for Norton.

I got an email which read Norton 360, you will be billed $268.64. I called 937-601-8944. I spoke to Raymond, who had a slight accent, maybe Pakistani. He said I had been billed incorrectly, and he could refund me the $268.64. He sent me a Chase form to complete, which I did. I don't remember giving him remote control of the computer, but he was able to get in. he told me that he refunded $3000.00. He was having a cow, so I went to buy gift cards to make up the difference between what should have been refunded to me and what he refunded me. He told me to buy go to Best Buy in Lancaster and Target. He stayed on the phone with me and told me to tell the clerk it wasn't any of their business why I was buying a gift card. I scratched the numbers off the backs of the cards and gave them to him. I purchased 4 cards at Best Buy for $500 each, and 2 cards at Target ($500 and $200). he called me from the parking lot and said the cards are no good. I walked back into Best Buy and the clerk printed a report for me which showed the gift cards had been cashed. He replied tht awe would have to wait and see if they are cashed. I got home and checked my bank account and found the money he had deposted was all gone. I went to the bank the next day and closed my account. I have also filed a police report and contacted a credit reporting agency. I also called Norton and FTC to report it as well.

this is what it read.

For over 6 months our non-profit organizations has been getting emails from Norton 360 offering internet protection services. We initially called about services and did not get a response then emails begin saying that we were being billed for their service. We did not pay for any service and called to cancel the so called "payment" but never got a response. We continue to get emails from various people using various email addresses and representing Norton 360 saying that we are being billed different amounts of money.

We never respond or paid money but want this scam gone

Received an robo call confirming my order of $399 for Norton 360. To cancel you must call them. I called and this guy kept telling me I had to complete a form on line. He told me to go to www.teamviewer.com and hit the download to get the form. I said I don't download anything. I could see that if I hit download it gave them access to my computer. When I asked what the last 4 digits of the card that was charged he hung up.

Received call from unknown number, caller identified himself as tech support from Norton 360, advised that they were unable to push a required update to my computer and wanted to "fix" my issue. Asked me to power on my PC and they would walk me through it.
