I received an email with an invoice for $483.80, invoice No. #*********, claiming that I subscribed to Norton Life-Lock security, WHICH I NEVER DID. When I called that number, five times, the other end was always garbled and almost impossible to understand. They seemed to direct me to any desk.com but in order to cancel whatever it was, I was supposed to sign in. I would not do that. This sender should be banned from the internet.

I received an email that my Norton Lifelock subscription would auto renew and I would be charged $349.99. To cancel, I was asked to call their toll-free 888 number. I thought they were setting up direct deposit to my account as they asked me to verify my name and last 4 digits. I could see they were running something that looked like programs. Norton contact Alan Wilson then turned me over to a Royal Bank manager Matt Benjamin who needed to approve the amount. He wanted to refund 2 payments of $249.99 and $100. I was to type in the first amount $249.99 on a screen he provided. I entered the amount and a deposit of $24,999 appeared to be pending on my bank account . He wanted me to admit YES I had made a mistake or he was at risk of losing his job. They asked what my bank hours were/ opening and closing. I called my bank who said it was a scam, hung up and unplugged my computer . Then I immediately called my bank hotline and asked to have the account frozen. Next day the deposit amount disappeared. However, based on my banks advice we unfroze the account. The deposit amount reappeared today so the account is now going to be changed . Also my computer is being cleaned as well.
