Norton Spoof Email Fake Invoice and Hacking Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

Email came thru to my 80 year old mother from Norton stating double premium payment made, they could get her money back just all this number. She did, she let them in computer to fix it for her, transferred money from saving to checking telling her they put the money there, she needed to overnight $23,000 to them in California. She did, they claim they didn't receive, she needed to buy Target gift cards and send them the numbers from back. She did this over a 2 week period, using cash, debit card, Amex, Visa and a Lowes card. SHe finally told they family what happened. She bought cards from Kroger, Tom Thumb, Albertsons, CVS, Walgreens and Lowes all for Target. These stores should pull them off shelves. Older people are not buying $400+ in gift cards.. Should be a red flag. This has gone on long enough, someone needs to help the older generation and step in to call family.
