**NOT ASSIGNED** Reports & Reviews (237)

The Robo call said my credit cards had been used in the amount of $1004.00 and $400.00.

To refuse these charges that I need to press #1

I did not press #1 and they hung up the call.

scammer used website to sell vehicles/ assets that have been sold in the past with carfax reports.

Approached via text by a woman named Brooke Nielsen about a remote position. Then asked to download signal and contact a man named Matt Fausto. He interviewed me. Next day said I was being offered a position. The said I would need a lot of software and that the would email a check that I would need to print, trim and deposit in my banks mobile app to purchase the software. This is were I ended things as it seemed to me it was a scam.

The scammer reached out indicating they had received my application via LinkedIn and would like to setup an interview.

Attached to the email was a signed job description, pay, and equipment provided from the company CEO and on letterhead.

I was advised that since the role was fully remote I needed to add the recruiter [email protected] on the app Ring Central.

I was not advised the interview would be conducted via chat, the app had video conferencing abilities, so I downloaded it and thought it was just the companies chosen platform. At this time I had researched the company’s legitimacy, culture, employee reviews and was happy with what I had found. I noted the company was a startup pretty late in their series fundraising and I’m pretty aware of the unique methods of doing things within startups.

Having an interview via chat was odd, but I could kind of explain it away between the culture of start up and a remote role. I was asked about a dozen questions and without verifying my work history, references, or a follow up phone or video interview I was emailed a job offer from HR 1 hour later and provided 24 hours to accept.

I started feeling a little alarmed, but had a couple peers encourage me to proceed because they also reviewed the company and agreed that startup culture can be unusual.

I instead asked several questions, they weren’t answered very clearly or timely. In addition to the offer letter I received, I also received a document prepping me for a process that would follow in regards to getting approval for a mailed check to purchase the equipment the company provides. This was a huge red flag and I decided to google scams associated with the company name and that is what I should have been checking from the start.

The email seems legit, but it’s not as the website is Omadahealth.com not the .works email scammers are using.

I asked too many questions and didn’t officially accept my offer, so next steps of sending me a check that would have taken money out of my account based on the other scam reports did not occur. I did not provide any personal information since I did not move forward with the “acceptance”process.

I have job description and an offer letter all via PDF, but this attached letter came with the offer letter and was titled onboarding process…I believe this document to be the most telling that a scam is occurring.

I ordered a metal building off of Handshow company/Idexfox and they stated they sent me a black dress instead. I have contacted my bank, they charged me 64.85 and I never got the package. They told me to return it in order to get my money back. I did not order this black dress. I've been in contact with my bank, the company, and I am not getting answers. I got a tracking number for the dress and it was sent somewhere within my hometown. I would like these people to stop scamming others. I do not care about the 64 dollars, I just would like people to be aware of this situation and be aware of these scammers. I do not care about the shed, although I am upset I never received it. My daughter looked up the company and saw multiple people saying it is a fake company. Handshow and Idexfox are the "companies" that were involved within this scam. My daughter traced their address to Columbus, hopefully this does not happen to anyone else. I want others to be aware and look out for these scams/fake information. Thank you for your time.

Scammer poses as a Government Representative who tells me to give them $500 to purchase a "Steam Card" and I will receive $500,000 in return as my winnings.

I got a call from Albert Miller who said I had won $1 million dollars from American Cash Awards. He told me I would need to go to Walmart and buy a Vanilla gift card for $67,000.00. He told me to call him at 864-453-6385 when I have the gift card. He told me to get up and get dressed and go. I told him I was dressed and getting ready to go. (I wasn't getting ready to go, I was getting ready to call BBB.)

Scan online saying they write essays for a small fee, then they steal your money and never give you anything. I reported this fraud to my bank.

Friend told me that he saw my name on a beneficiary list and I should get on website to respond. I responded and they said yes I was on “winners list” but I needed to fill out a form and send a picture of myself and my money would be delivered via Fed Ex. When I asked questions they would not answer anything.

I’ve always believed if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

I got a text today from Lending Tree saying I was approved for a $20,000 loan but first I have to pay $199 by ACH, but told me to go to Walmart to buy a gift card. He says he is Vincent Parker. He will text me more info as to who to pay. The fee is due to an FTC rule. He says he is accredited with BBB. He called back to say he needs to update the status of my loan, and wants to know when I can go. He has an accent. He seemed to know where I bank.

I was offered a job by a company called PNP Ship and they offered a salary of $2400 a month plus $45 bonuses for delivering packages on time. After a month I have yet to get paid and now my personal information is in their possesion. Now I’ve looked deeper and found that I may have been delivering stolen goods.

Very authentic website, everything you expect-customer service, secure checkout, etc.

I ordered a hand seeder, off the website, for applying grass seed, etc.; name brand unit (Earthway) and paid via credit card.

They made it look like it was about 25% off the normal price.

It showed up on my credit card as a charge from MeilidonGren Store in Denver Colorado. My Mastercard account did re-imburse me the $48.95.

The phone number never worked (Try it) and none of my several emails were ever answered! How irksome it is.

Thank you-Brian

Had me ship packages to another location. I had to pay for the packaging at UPs stores.

We had a house fire and have been ordering TONS of items online to replace our belongings. I get email and text updates from usps about deliveries all the time now. I Got a Text message that said “The package address lacks detailed street information. The carrier cannot deliver to your door. Please update or it will be returned. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/XXXXXX”

I clicked the link entered my address, gave my credit card info to pay a “redelivery fee”. Ten minutes later my husband got the same text and that’s when I knew it was a scam.

They claimed to be the USPS

They were selling Frenchie puppies. We put a down payment on it. They kept asking for more money. We said no. When it came time to pick the puppy up, we went to the address in Reynoldsburg, Ohio but unfortunately, it was an empty apartment in an apartment complex.

My daughter received a call from Jason Green, a mediator from Westerson. He asked for me. My daughter called me and told me to call him. He asked me for $500, then $200, then $100. My son gave me $50, and agreed to take it out on Friday. He knew my Social Security number. He told me to call him back to make arrangements. I gave him my address. Today, I called Sprint/T-Mobile and asked if I was being scammed. I told them I was looking for work, and would try to pay the bill. I spoke to someone who said they would not take me to court or hire a mediator to collect a debt. I called the bank, and they agreed to shut the card down and issue me a new one. I feel like I have heard his voice before trying to get money from me. He is soft spoken and very professional. He does not have an accent.

I was applying for a loan. The scammer said I needed to boost my credit score. The only way to do so is to do a wire transfer through PayPal. They wired the funds to my bank account. I wired it back to them! Their wire transfer was fake so it came back returned to my bank! I’m out $955.00 in my account. They took me for a ride that’s for sure!
