I was reached out for a job interview after looking on indeed. The requested I download the Wire messaging app. At this point I became suspicious as the pay was advertised relatively high ($40/hr) and I could not locate any information on the person who was supposedly the hiring manager. I received another email from a different email address with the same information and the hiring manager was listed as a different person.

Received an email asking me to download an app and schedule an interview Mr. Jeff Stephenson with a company I had not applied to. The email stated I’d make $40 per hour and could start working ASAP. At the end of the interview I was told I need to pay $1000 in order to received their software to start working. I immediately ended the interview.
