I was searching for TV and came across one for a good price so I clicked on the picture. A Costco's window opened up and I thought it was the real costco's website. I never shopped at a Costco's online or in person, I had no reason to doubt the authenticity. I hurried up and purchased the TV because I thought I better get it before they get gone. Business is slow for me now but I always loved bargains, so after purchasing I was sent two emails, one thanking me for the purchase and one asking me to register at Costcos. I did not register, thank God! Four days after the purchase I was checking up on my order from the email and the website was marked as a scam. That's when I did research on the email address and discovered others were scam. My question, who is financially helping these scammers? Obviously, they have money to keep a website running, a point of service payment system, and send newsletter emails. I will definitely be extra careful.
