Fake Job Offer Scam

Contact reaches out via text message, telling me I'd be a good fit for *list of positions* and that if I'm interested I can speak with someone RIGHT NOW for an interview, conducted via Teams/Hangouts/Skype/etc. They conduct an 'interview' via messaging app (no video or phone call) in which you answer questions with yes no understood etc. At the end they ask you to wait "8 minutes" while they "check with the higher ups" and come back with an immediate agreement. They offer to "send a check" via courier to set up home office equipment but will offer excess of the amount in the check (ie $200 check but keep half as a sign on bonus). Reddit saved me on this one.
