I received an email from " Follett Staffing Folletstaffing@NXTHINGRPO "which indicated they were a Follet recruiting company, to schedule a phone interview December 27, 2021. I waited at home, made no calls or otherwise tied up my phone, but heard nothing. They later emailed saying they were unable to contact me. Nobody else had problems contacting me later that day, so apparently just them. The hiring company, NXTTHINGRPO, said they were a staffing solution company working for Follett, and they pay, they said, via ADP. A few days later I got a job offer from them, pending filling out ADP payroll and W-2, I-9 etc. information, which I did. Including Social Security number, scanned image, driver's license scanned image uploaded to them.
So this hiring company that contacted me from my job board resume, is NXTTHINGRPO, and they pay, they said, via ADP, but they are a staffing solution for Follett book stores. I received an email from them giving a start date of January 6 at the local Follet store at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI, giving store address, manager name and phone, details of first reporting process, how to clock in with ADP (downloaded the ADP app and filled in all this). the email is attached below and came from " Follett Staffing from Follett Corporation • [email protected] " It instructed me to contact the local store manager if I had not received a begin time. By January 5 I still had no hours scheduled on the NXTRPO/ADP app, so did as instructed and contacted the local Follet store manager. ******** ****** ************. She had no record of my name, and asked when I was scheduled to work. I told her and we briefly chatted. Then I emailed NXTRPO again to confirm, but began to receive automated answers only, saying their backlog prohibited them from answering my email at that time. January 6 morning I again logged on to the NXTRPO app and saw a time clock for the first time, where I guess an employee could clock hours. But on my work schedule, it showed I was not scheduled to work. I looked through the entire month of January 2022 and saw no hours scheduled. I again emailed NXTRPO and again received the automated answer saying their backlog prohited them from answering my email at that time.
