I ordered a number of steeply discounted items from, I thought, Marimekko -- a Finnish business whose products are well known. I got an email with tracking information and was surprised to see it was supposedly coming from France. I followed the "tracking" for 6 weeks, while it went through France customs, NYC customs, then to me in my city, where the tracking info said it was delayed. I finally went to my own post office and they said there was no such tracking number, no such package.

Scam company posted an ad on Instagram posing as the actual retailer, Marimekko. The ad had a link to shop on the web and I followed the link. I shopped, paid via credit card. When I received the confirmation email, I could tell it was not actually Marimekko. I never received the merchandise.

I reported to my bank as fraud & my bank credited the funds for me.
